This dual terminal international airport effectively replaces the current Ft. Lauderdale terminals to step towards the future of air travel. By bulging the forms outward, we attained more exterior surface area, doubling the number of current gates. We maximized efficiency and reduced clustering by allotting multiple check-in/security points in each terminal, while the interior’s program layout is produced by a gridded pattern of tiled pods.
